I have nearly twenty years experience in conserving and repairing old buildings with
lime mortars and plasters. Prior to which, I was the West Pennine Moors Field Officer
for the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers.
Apart from lime plastering, I am also a very competent dry stone waller. I won the
Cotswold AONB professional dry stone walling competition in 2004 and came runner
up in 2005.
Between 1993 and 2008, I taught lime plastering on the ‘lime week’ course for the
new intake of MA students at York University.
